Astra H 1.4 playing up already - wont start. As title key in ignition go to start the ! light flashes (not engine management/service) and car won't start. All other electrics on and working fine. Happens with both keys.

I have an Astra H 1.8 that doesn't start. Symptoms: Turn ignition - Spanner light comes on (solid not flashing) Fuel gauge moves then drops to zero 8-10 seconds later. OBD2 scanner cannot communicate with car. Pedal test shows/does nothing. Everything else (door locks/steering controls/horn/lights etc) work as expected. I have so far tried:

The horn would of been continuous since the repair in. 2010. It could easily be overlooked because certain things need to be going on to create the environment for the horn not to work. As one of the links above shows if the vehicle has had the CUstomer satisfaction program done and it has not solved the problem then a complete CIM should be done.
