🌧️ Golf Mk7 1.4 Tsi Problems
"Try adapting (also called basic reset) the clutch and see if it fixes your problem. Turn the car off, turn the key to II right before ignition, hold the throttle pedal down to the "button" for 20 seconds, release, turn the car all the way off (DO NOT REMOVE KEY) then back to II, then off again and then start the car.
had to replace the tcu, which is the transmission comp, goes together with the mechantronic unit. also it could be caused by a ruptured pressure cylinder in the mechantronic unit. with VW if something goes off it is usually the most expensive part. btw after this fix i had another transmission issue a year later, had to replace the entire
There wasn’t a whole bunch wrong with the Mk7 Golf. And actually, most of the time in the new one we longed for the clarity of the old car’s infotainment. Get yourself a 148bhp TSi with
I also drove a 2016 Golf 1.4 TSI GT and there was absolutely no sign of any similar noise. I do question now whether all MK7.5 cars could have this irritating sound and therefore did VW use modified components at the rear on the face lifted model when compared to original MK7!
Even the 1.4 tsi can do 0-60 in 8 seconds which isn't amazing but isn't no slouch either. Tl;dr The MK7 looks to be more reliable than the mk6 and comes with more tech and generally better features. The MK6 can be had for much less and is still a great car if you don't care about the new tech. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Mark I am sure I have read it on this forum, the 1.4 TSI 122PS engine is a new engine and is not the same as the one in MK6. As I am a proud owner of the MK7 with the above mentioned engine, I am sure it is belt driven.
My local VW dealer has problems with Mk7 Golf’s (1.4lt) which have sat on the forecourt without moving for a few months & a customer takes one for a test drive. The customer gets half way down the road & the engine management lights come on & the car goes into “limp mode”.
How to fix the turbo wastegate rattle on the Mk7 Golf 1.4lt TSI (140/150PS) VW Golf Mk7 Estate, GT, 1.4T SI 140PS, Turbo-1-4-TSI-150-HP.jpg. 48.4 KB · Views
I have 1.4 TSI ACT DSG with 18" wheels, and was never able to go below 7.3l/100km. Usually its above 8.0l/100km.
I had the Mk6 1.4 tsi DSG Match and now have the Mk7 1.4 tsi GT, my mileage is @ 10-12000miles/year and if your main consideration is economy/noise the petrol version is probably the way to go, based on your mileage. I find the petrol version is quieter and quicker than the diesel plus petrol is cheaper.
Had a momentary transmission warning message flash at me today. It was too short to catch. Nothing in the car menu of infotainment system. Pulled a U0212 code from both the ECU and TCU modules. Says "lost communication with steering column control module." No issues with the transmission, no
Hi, your car have 1.5 bar with the stock turbo for the 150ps version? Is the czda engine? I have an mk7 facelifted with a czda engine and 150ps stock, I installed a tdi-tuning chip to get more power without lost my warranty and the turbo failed just few days with the higher option of the chip and start to make a noice like a siren when the turbo start to get load
The 1.4L Golf starting at $32,250 is a car with a lot of character. The subtle lines do not portray it as a sports car but you instantly get a sense that when it grows up it wants to be one, just like a kid dreaming of becoming an astronaut. The Mk7 is the next step in the evolution of the Golf’s design, slowly shifting from soft curving
Keep in mind that compared to your Civic, these cars, due to the turbocharging, produce much more usable torque at very low RPM. Torque peak is around 1600 rpm, and it holds it all the way to 4200 rpm for the 1.8 TSI. So it is a very flexible motor and handles the wide ratios of the 5-speed quite well.
Car (s) 2018 Golf TSI 1.8. Mar 2, 2021. #3. When I did my first tune to Uni stage 1+, @ around 35k km, I started having misfires. That was solved by replacing my coils & plugs for the APR coils, and OEM Golf plugs with a shorter gap. Since then, + Stage 2 IS20 @ around 50k km, no issues at all. Smooth idle and acceleration.
